Sorry, if people are getting bits of these emails, I keep forgetting to hit reply all.
I don't know what their regulations are on this, or what would be best. I think someone needs to take a look at the hall and have a think...I'll text Josh and ask him to have a look at this discussion.

is it not possible to just have a few blocks, say £20 of man hours?

The stage is made of 1m wooden blocks which take £100-£150 worth of man hours to set up, from what I got at the meeting last week, we can't afford this...so I don't know what to do.

Some thoughts:

If it's not too much more money I think going for the stage is a much better idea than having tiered seating out. We don't want it to feel too much like a lecture/performance. However if it really does take ages to set up the whole stage, could we just have some of it? The wind band and choir don't necessarily all need to be up high, just the speaker really.

Also you will all be missing out if you don't help out with the vid tomorrow. Should be a blast :D

The retirement party has been cancelled, so we can have it from as early as we need. Min/Josh what time do you need for set up?

The event in there the previous day has no chairs or stage, which means we get charged for the man hours of the external contractors who do the set up. Conferences are getting me a quote. To have the stage set up will take a long time so will cost a lot, around £100-150. Our other option is to just have the tiered seating, which is a lot quicker to set up and then have the choir/band/speaker on the floor at the bottom of that on the floor. Josh/Ezequiel/anyone else thoughts?

I need to give them an approximate timetable, so Min/Ezequiel/Josh what time are set up and rehearsal going to be?

Josh is the speaker confirmed?

I'm going to see them at 11am tomorrow so if you could reply by then that would be great (sorry, short notice I know!). And if anyone wants to come with me to discuss any info with them then let me know.

Caitlin
