[Committee] Great Hall

The flat bit of the stage does move quite often, and is not going to be out from the event the day before. Because of this it will cost us £100-£150 to have the external contractors set it up, which I don't think we have the money for. The seating itself doesn't cost, again it's the contractors to set it up, but for the tiered seating that shouldn't take long. If we don't have chairs on the level at the bottom of the tiered seating there is a lot of space for band etc on the floor, and I think that's the best balance that's affordable. Andy any thoughts?

I thought the stage did not move, and seats can be normal chairs or the cheapest ones. I didnt understand that about not having the stage but we would need it.
I am thinking that if they dont charge extra for the time that we have the hall to set up then have as early as possible then it gives us room to manuver. I havent heard back from the wind band yet but was thinking of telling them and the choir to get there possibly 2 hours before so it gives room to practice. saying that i would have to be there before them with josh etc to set up so the stuff is ready when they arrive. but that's ok because i finish tutorials at 1
thanks for the hard work, i cant go with you to discuss things because i have a meeting at that time
see you soon

The retirement party has been cancelled, so we can have it from as early as we need. Min/Josh what time do you need for set up?

The event in there the previous day has no chairs or stage, which means we get charged for the man hours of the external contractors who do the set up. Conferences are getting me a quote. To have the stage set up will take a long time so will cost a lot, around £100-150. Our other option is to just have the tiered seating, which is a lot quicker to set up and then have the choir/band/speaker on the floor at the bottom of that on the floor. Josh/Ezequiel/anyone else thoughts?

I need to give them an approximate timetable, so Min/Ezequiel/Josh what time are set up and rehearsal going to be?

Josh is the speaker confirmed?

I'm going to see them at 11am tomorrow so if you could reply by then that would be great (sorry, short notice I know!). And if anyone wants to come with me to discuss any info with them then let me know.

Caitlin
