Hey all,
How are you guys?!?! I really hope that you are all well, and have had summers in which you have really grown in your faith and love of our Savior and God!!!
Being the start of a new year, there is a lot going on, and plenty of things you forget about... here is one not to... PRAYER!!! :). God loves it, and when we come humbly before him we know that we should be there, talking with our Father.
Now, we don't need to be praying every second of every day, but God is a God who doesn't just desire us to talk with him, he deserves it. He died on a cross so you could have the privileged of being in a relationship with him, and yet we despise it and see it as a burden! DON'T. It's the best thing in the world, and prayer is an enormous part of that relationship.
Basically, you should all stop reading my babbling now and get praying, but before you do, let me remind you of your prayer triplets. Meeting together with other believers to pray is both powerful, and edifying. Do it. Learn from eachother, pray for eachother, and pray for imperial... especially the new freshers coming in.
It would be great if we had a strong prayer triplet structure going on BEFORE freshers arrive so that when they arrive they can see that this is a big part of ICCU, and get stuck in with it.
With this in mind, let me beg you all to meet up with your prayer triplets (or "prayer currently-reduced-but hopefully-about to-expand-lets") before term really gets underway if you can, and lets lift up imperial in prayer together.
Let us be an example to the believers everywhere in the way that we pray,
"For we do not present our pleas before you because of our righteousness, but because of your great mercy." Daniel 9:18
Luke
Ps: WE will have some prayer points highlighted at refreshers
