Maybe "committee member" isn't Joel then. Can everyone do the Key Information test, so that we make sure that whoever "committee member" is passes the test.

Zim

Hi Zim,

Followed your instructions and passed the test three times, but the system still doesn't seem to register. Do you know why?

Regards,

Joel Boon

Subject: [Committee] FW: IMPORTANT INFO ABOUT TRAINING

Hi all,

Please read this carefully, as it's very important otherwise the union will not recognise your training even if you might have already completed it.

You may have completed online training relevant to your committee position before BUT it will not be registered unless you do it in the following way:

 1. Visit https://eactivities.union.ic.ac.uk/switchboard and log in using your college login.
 2. Click on the following tabs: Main Switchboard > Club & Society Admin > Club & Society Details
 3. On the right hand side should be a table headed "SCC Christian Union". Under that table, click on the "Documents" tab.
 4. A list headed Training Quizzes will appear and underneath that, highlighted in red, are all the committee members who haven't yet completed a particular training quiz. The committee member simply called "Committee Member" is Joel Boon (i.e. international secretary). Even if you might have done that quiz before, you might still be on this list because you didn't do the quiz by logging into eactivities.
 5. To complete the Training Quiz click on the following tabs: Main Switchboard > Training Quizzes.
 6. Under the table headed "Training Quizzes" click on the tab labelled with the name of the training quiz you need to complete. For most of you it is "Key Information". Then start the training quiz.
 7. The quiz is not timed but you must get above 70% to pass. I highly recommend you go to https://www.imperialcollegeunion.org/training and at the bottom of the webpage you can download the Key Information Booklet, which contains all the info you need to pass the Key Information quiz.

Please try to complete this asap for the reasons mentioned in my earlier email.

Cheers,

Zim

Hi all,

Please buy CU membership term starts at https://www.imperialcollegeunion.org/christian-union-58/christian-union-membership/product.html.

And please also check that you've completed any training that applies to you at https://www.imperialcollegeunion.org/training.

They normally have a policy of freezing our finances if these things aren't done by everyone on committee, so please set aside time to do so if you haven't already.

Thanks,

Zim

Hi,

I hope all of your preparations for Freshers’ Fair are now well underway. The plans are now online so check your stall location at http://www.imperialcollegeunion.org/news/freshers-fair-plan-now-available,393,ICUNS.html. I have done my best to grant special requests where possible but obviously with so many clubs it has not always been possible. If you submitted a special request you will receive a separate e-mail explaining whether or not it has been granted. At this stage it is highly unlikely that your position will change unless you can produce a compelling reason why it must.

If your special request is a display board you must apply for this via Conferences who will charge for it. The Union can not provide these and you will be charged a fee. When booking these boards please give your stall number as they will need to be placed in the appropriate area.

I would also like to take this opportunity to encourage you and your entire committee to complete your Key Information Training (https://www.imperialcollegeunion.org/training) and join your club online. Please also make sure that your financial responsibility form is handed in before the start of term. If you are a Chair, Treasurer or Sports Captain you must also complete additional training detailed on the same page.

Please remember to attend the Freshers’ Fair Briefing on Monday 4 October at 19:00 in the Great Hall and that set-up is from 09:00 on Tuesday 5 October for the Fair which will start at the earlier time of 10:00. This is to allow time for the Clubs & Societies Fair which is just for Postgraduates and is 10:00-11:00 with Undergraduates invited from 11:00. Please ensure you are confident of your location in advance. A full list of the rules for the day can be found at https://www.imperialcollegeunion.org/data/files/freshers-fair-info-sheet-727.pdf but if in doubt please feel free to contact me for clarification.

Best wishes,

Heather Jones
