Hi All<div><br></div><div>I have tried to get a VAT receipt for the pizza's however the people who I spoke to did not even know what VAT is. So after emailing the SCC Treasurer, we are going to have to change pizza company, otherwise we are going to loose 20% each week. </div>

<div style="direction:ltr;font-family:Tahoma;color:#000000;font-size:10pt">Hi Andrew
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Do be aware that company is legally obliged to produce a VAT receipt on request. If the guy you're asking doesn't know what VAT is, he's unlikely to know that and it won't help you much. I'm afraid that without a VAT receipt, you can't reclaim VAT (even
if you paid it) as that would be tax fraud. As far as I can see, you have two options: keep pursuing escalating levels of complaint with the pizza company, which is likely to be a lot of hassle and no particular benefit to you, or change to a major chain like
Domino's, who will produce VAT receipts.</div>

<div>Sorry I can't be more help</div>

<div>Hi,
<div><br>
</div>
<div>We (Christian Union) order pizza's after our weekly meetings, from a local pizza company. I have been to them to get a VAT receipt in order to make a claim as I have paid for them. However the pizza company claim to not be able to produce a VAT receipt.
One person I spoke to did not know what VAT is. </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>I'm not sure what to do, we are planning to do this every week and therefore losing 20% cannot be sustained. </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Thanks,</div>
