Dear all,

Over the previous few years the faith societies have been
growing year-on-year and putting on some great events in and around Imperial.
Similarly, the Chaplaincy Centre has been growing, both in terms of its
recognition within the College, and its multi-faith work and development of
faith resources.

As the term is coming to a close, and before everyone leaves
for the summer, it would be good if we could all meet each other. This will be
a chance for the new faith society presidents to meet the Chaplaincy staff,
learn about what facilities and resources are available, such as the
multi-faith prayer room. It will also be an opportunity to discuss how the
Chaplaincy Centre can support your faith group, and explore possible areas of
partnership and collaboration.

It goes without saying that this will also be a great
opportunity to meet representatives from the other faith groups, which we hope
will foster a spirit of interfaith unity. This is a point which the College are
particularly keen to promote, especially with the appointment of Rory Fenton,
Interfaith Officer at the Union, who we hope will also be attending.

We would therefore like to invite all incoming
faith-based society presidents and their interfaith officers to the Chaplaincy
Centre, Beit Quad, on Thursday 1st July, from 4-5pm. If either of these
committee members cannot attend, another representative from your society would
be welcome. Please RSVP by Tuesday 29th June to chaplaincy@imperial.ac.uk.

Thank you very much, and we look forward to hearing from
you.
