So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. This is my prayer for all of you during exams.
The topic of our meeting this week is pretty exciting, we are going to be thinking about our January mission week. Our aim of the meeting is going to be to answer the question "What should mission week look like?". To this end we will be thinking about:
* The purpose of mission week
* How have our previous mission weeks and mission events gone, what should we do the same or different?
* JAMES- you met up with Chris and Greg for feedback after our Jan uncover mission, if you made any notes from that can you bring them along.
* How can we best support and encourage the other Christian societies to do mission?
* Is mission week an events week? should we be making a particular effort in our personal evangelism during that week? If so, how?
* Is our mission bible and prayer fuelled and how can we make it more so?
Do start thinking some of this through before the meeting if you can. Lots of this is conceptual stuff is quite conceptual but we will be jotting down specific ideas as we go along. The real purpose of this meeting is to make sure that we aren't just going through the motions of organising events because that's what we normally do, but really deliberately thinking through what we are doing and why.
Remember to bring along your bibles and gospel driven mission booklets.
