[Committee] Bill Craig at Imperial - Thank You

Dear All,

We from the Imperial College Christian Union Committee would like to write to you all, on behalf of the CU to express our thanks for all the work and support that went into making yesterday's lecture happen. In particular we'd like to thank the following people/groups:


  *   Mike Marriage and Lunar Films for filming and being so efficient in setting up in limited constraints.
  *   UCCF, and especially Peter May and the tour organising committee for all the hard work in organising the tour, and for taking the risk to allow us to host the lecture. Thank you for putting up with our struggles with room bookings and time constraints.
  *   Chris Oldfield - Our staffworker, for general support and lots of encouragement.
  *   Chris Knight for running the bookstall and his work/publicity with the bethinking website.
  *   Imperial's Staff and Post-Grad Christian Fellowship (in particular, Jennifer Siggers) for their support with the event and helping with publicity, prayer and food.
  *   Other Christian societies at Imperial for their support: Every Nation Church and the Christian Medical Fellowship.
  *   The rest of the CU for praying, bringing food and inviting friends.
  *   Imperial College Union (in particular, the Deputy President Monya Zard) for their understanding with a high-profile event - and their trust that it would be organised safely.
  *   Stephen Cooper and Daniel Mewton - ICCU members who marshalled the event and sorted out the footage and sound in the overflow theatre very quickly in time for the start of the lecture.
  *   Bill for his excellent lecture and powerful speaking. We were touched that despite his intense schedule he was able to stay beyond the official end time to take questions from students, even staying to chat individually to some (see photo!)
  *   And of course, none of this would be possible without God - so we'd like to thank Him most of all!
  *   I'm sure we've missed people - so thank you to everyone else! I'm really sorry to those that we missed - thank you so much! Please pass on our thanks.

We hope you enjoyed the event as much as we did. We are praying that this has raised the profile of Christianity on campus, and will serve as a great discussion starter and the event will bear fruit in the future.
