[Committee] Room Bookings for next term

Hi,
Thanks for doing this so far Caitlin.
1. We will have an end of term Prayer and Praise on 15th July, so it would be good to book a room.
2. We will have a guest speaker - not sure who yet. (Chris O did it last year).
3. Brilliant news on the food! Let's pray we get the JCR - makes food a lot cheaper!
4. Yep!
What are people's thoughts on Impact? Josh and I reckon it's worth trying out the "HUB" rooms in SAF because they are more central. We're also considering moving Impact to Friday, for the following reasons:
* gives people more of the week to invite mates etc.
* no-one can be bothered to work on Friday (because the weekend is coming) - perhaps a bigger market?
* HUB on Thurs pm can be used to remind people.
* Friday is a day used very successfully by other CUs for their lunchbars (probs because of the 1st three reasons)
Downsides to Friday:
* Josh F has a course on Friday lunchtimes, so won't be there to coordinate it. How many of you guys would be able help (e.g. setup etc.)
* Most of the Muslims at Imperial will be in Friday Prayers - that means we'd be unlikely to get any Muslims to the lunchbar - although perhaps we could organise specific Christian-Muslim engagement for other times? (like we hoped to do this term).
Thoughts anyone?
We usually get a grant for the great hall. I will speak to Zim about contacts for that.
Matt Perkins has taken responsibility for paying for the Albert Hall in 2012 ;-)

I have requested the following rooms:
1. SAF 121 & 122, Hub, 17:45-21:00 all thursdays apart from freshers' week, mission launch and carol service until Thu 15th December, will we be having one that week?
2. JCR, Freshers event 06/10/11 18:00-19:00- Are we having a guest speaker for this event, because I will need to add that information to the request.
3. JCR, Carol Service reception 08/10/11 17:00-21:30. According to the room booking training we are allowed to provide our own food as long as it is shop bought, so no home baking, but that should help with budgeting.
4. Beit Quad Meeting Room, Prayer Meeting, 0800-0900 every Wednesday.
* None of these have been confirmed I will let you know as they are.
* I'm in the process of booking the Great Hall, that takes a little longer because it's through conferences. This will cost £250-just warning you Andy!
* Joel, I'm not sure if the rooms at the back of SAF are bookable, but I will try, and if not I'll book the SAF 121 &122 rooms that we use for Hub. I will talk to Kerlina about this seperately.
* And looking way in advance...what are peoples thoughts on attempting the Albert Hall for the 2012 Carol Service, it's not available this year, but currently is next year...it's going to cost in the region of £12,000?
