Hello all,
I hope all your revision etc. is going well, and you all had a joyful Easter. Just a few things regarding next term:
(1) Those of you who haven't let me know which committee meetings you wouldn't be able to attend, please could you let me know asap, so I can finish organising them.
(2) Chris Oldfield is involved in organising a lunch bar training day on Tuesday 1th May. This presents us with an opportunity to have a good speaker to do a lunch bar for us then. Obviously it's exam term. Therefore, please could you all let me know whether you would be available that day to be involved with it (so I can get a general feel for how many CU members and their friends would potentially come).
(3) There will be no committee meeting as usual next week (Wed 4th May). Instead, there will be a Freshers Week training session 2:30pm - 5pm. I won't be able to come because I will be sitting in an exam, but last year it was excellent, and is well worth going to. I suggest those who able to come (I will know when everyone's let me know their availibility for meetings next term!) organise to either leave from Imperial together, or meet at the All Souls Cubhouse at 2:30pm. Any volunteers to take charge of that??
(4) The Staff and Post-grad Christian Fellowship are hosting an guest event on Wednesday 11th May (see attached flyer) - "Why you can't Practice Science Without Faith". They've invited the CU to be involved (we don't really have to do much - just turn up and bring friends if it's something that interests you/them). It should be a good opportunity to take advantage of.
Enjoy the royal wedding!
Let me know if there's any questions.
Tom
:)
