Hi committee,

Regarding the college open day (24th June), I'm thinking of emailing back Jenny Wilson with the following response.  I don't mention anything interactive because I'm not sure if we have enough notice to organise something interactive that is relevant.  If you think we can do better than what I've described, please let me know your suggestion by Tuesday 1st June bearing in mind that it has to be feasible and we have to stick to whatever we committ to:

"Hi Jenny,

The Christian Union would be pleased and intereseted to put on a stall at the college open day on 24th June.  Our stall would have a large banner, lots of goody bags with sweets and FREE gospels and manned by a couple of people who'll be have friendly chats with anyone passing by the stall."

Dear All,

Despite being about a month away from 3 months of holiday or even graduation (or just continuing with your PhD, but hopefully some summer plans), the Union is still bustling and wanting to hear from you and your club. Please read the following info about exciting opportunities!

Union Colours Nominations
Has someone you know been particularly fantastic this year, and an all round asset to the Union and students? Perhaps they've started something new, or been particularly successful at what they do (outside of academics)? Have you got a great year rep or dept rep? Perhaps someone who has helped you and your peers overcome something? Or gone above and beyond in your club/society?
If so, remember to thank them by nominating them for this year's Union Colours<http://www.imperialcollegeunion.org/news/union-colours-2009,352,ICUNS.html>!
The deadline has been extended until Friday 28th May at 12 noon.

Summer Elections
In the Summer term, we elect some of the other essential roles in the Union. Notably, the Sabbatical position of Deputy President (Education) has been reopened, and there are some eager candidates standing. One thing we all have in common is that we are all here to be educated, so make sure you vote for who you want to be looking after your education and representing you. Remember, voting in all of the Summer Elections entitles you to donate 25p to a Club/Society of your choice, so make sure you encourage everyone in your Club to VOTE!

College Open Day
On the 24th June, the College is hosting its annual Open Day for school students. We've been invited to come along and represent all the fun/interesting opportunities that you can have at University, and we've got a lot to be proud of. I'm looking for Clubs & Societies to volunteer to host a stall promoting what they do between 10am-3.30pm. Clubs will be based outside in the sunshine on Upper Dalby Court (the big flat big between the blue cube, EEE, the Business School and the pink & green building). This is excellent practice for Freshers' Fair!  In particular if you have big/exciting/hands on things that the students can have a go at or great photos. Please note, that because this will be outside, it won't be possible to have electricity for your stall. If you have any videos of your club acitivities though that you would like prospective students to see, please tag with them with IMP150 on www.youtube.com<http://www.youtube.com> and we'll be able to show the students these.
If you/your Club are interested, please email me back at dpcs at ic.ac.uk<mailto:dpcs at ic.ac.uk> with a brief description with what your proposing. In the event that there are too many for the space, I'll be choosing the clubs on the above criteria.

Other than that, I wish you good luck in any upcoming or past exams and that coursework/project work is going well.
